The difference when you refer to Willow

Our team of therapists, psychiatrists, psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, care managers, and peer coaches work with referral partners to support patients with a wide range of conditions.

Urgent Access

When you refer a patient online, we reach out to schedule their intake within 24 and 48 hours of referral. Patients can begin care urgently –– compared to traditional IOPs which often have waitlists for several weeks. Willow's referral and intake processes are seamless by design to minimize friction for our partners, as well as our patients.

During the initial assessment, patients meet their care team which consists of a therapist and a psychiatrist or psychiatrist NP who create a treatment plan tailored to each patient's clinical needs and personal preferences.

Continuity of Care

We help establish continuity of care for patients with high acuity behavioral health needs by providing intensive yet cost-effective care that patients can access from home. As a trusted partner we support providers without intensive behavioral health expertise, such as primary care providers and therapists focused on mild to moderate care, by serving as a referral option for patients in crisis that is more therapeutically oriented than the emergency room.

Our program can start within 24 to 48 hours and and typically lasts 8–12 weeks. During that time, patients work with the same clinicians throughout the program, helping build trust and continuity in your care.

Treatment programs include may include a combination of the following:

  • Medication management
  • Individual therapy, including Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) for people experiencing suicidal thoughts
  • Recovery coaching
  • Group therapy with others on a similar journey
  • Care coordination and practical support

Seamless Transition

As patients approach the end of Willow’s short-term intensive program, our clinical and care management teams proactively help them transition to the right next step in care so support continues and clinical progress is maintained.
