
Nazlim Hagmann, MD, MPH, MBA, MSc, is a board-certified psychiatrist, healthcare executive, and strategic advisor with more than 25 years of experience spanning clinical psychiatry, managed behavioral health, population health, AI in healthcare, and healthcare system transformation. She currently serves as a Strategic Advisor to Willow Health, a virtual behavioral health company focused on crisis care and improving access to urgent, intensive mental healthcare.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hagmann has worked across the full continuum of care — from private practice and public psychiatry to hospital systems and senior leadership roles within managed behavioral health organizations and health plans serving Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and dual-eligible populations.
Her expertise sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, operational strategy, and behavioral health innovation. She has led large-scale care model redesigns, population health initiatives for high-acuity populations, and utilization management transformation efforts focused on automation and AI-assisted decision support. Her work has also included advancing HEDIS and STAR performance, NCQA accreditation readiness, predictive analytics, SDOH initiatives, and evidence-based case management frameworks.
In addition to her advisory work, Dr. Hagmann coaches and supervises emerging clinical leaders and is a practitioner and teacher of Dialogic Practice, training clinicians and organizations in Open Dialogue and dialogical approaches to crisis intervention and systems change.
Dr. Hagmann earned her MD from the University of Freiburg, her MPH from the University of Düsseldorf, and both an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and an MS in Healthcare Leadership from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. She also holds certifications in AI in Health Care, Organization Design and Design Thinking.
