From there, she completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and Max Gray Fellowship at UCLA. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their mental health concerns through a collaborative and personalized approach. Care is grounded in evidence-based practices for medication management and for the integration of therapy.
Treatment begins with a careful understanding of current symptoms and concerns, often involving both the individual and their families when appropriate. Psychoeducation is an essential part of the process, allowing clients to make informed decisions about their treatment options and care.
I am committed to empowering clients by fostering trust, clarity, and confidence in the treatment journey.
Our group, Willow Health, provides short term, virtual care for individuals in mental health crises. As a psychiatrist, I work collaboratively with our team of therapists, nurse practitioners, care managers, and certified peers to create personalized care plans. We also have a nursing after hours line to help with crises that occur after hours. (This will not be with your regular care team).
Our services are short term in nature, lasting between 8-12 weeks depending on your needs. This means that at the end of your time with us, we’ll make sure you’re connected to ongoing care and support to continue your recovery outside of Willow Health.
Part of our services include an 8 week, virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for those who qualify. Be sure to let me know if you are interested in exploring this option.
Getting started is simple. You can schedule an initial assessment as soon as today virtually, from the comfort of your home. Your first meeting will last about 90 minutes. You’ll talk with me and a therapist who will help design a treatment plan that works for you. Depending on your needs, your care may include medication management, therapy (including specialized support for thoughts of self harm) and care management. Additionally you’ll have the option to participate in recovery coaching, which includes working with a peer recovery coach, someone who has lived experience with mental health and/or substance use, and who will support you through your recovery journey.
Dr. Nguyen sees individuals ages 18 and older with a range of mental health needs, focusing on anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm, bipolar disorder, and trauma. She sees new patients in our crisis program and oversees both our crisis and IOP programs as their Medical Director.
